IBM Closes on Acquisition of Platform Computing

ARMONK, N.Y. – 09 Jan 2012: IBM today announced it has completed the acquisition of Platform Computing, a privately held company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Similar scenes probably play out every evening in Seattle, so there was nothing remarkable about the night in January 2009 when Clark Roberts and Mike Cook met up at Sully’s Bar. Yahoo! Appoints Scott Thompson Chief Executive Officer

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Yahoo! Inc., the premier digital media company, today announced the appointment of Scott Thompson as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 9, 2012 , at which time Tim Morse will resume his role as Chief Financial Officer.
