Pentagon Accuses Soldier of Filtering Files

The Pentagon confirmed today that it could imprison the U.S. Army soldier, Bradley Manning, as the main factor in the dissemination of secret military documents related to Afghanistan.  A spokesperson from the Department of Defense explained to CNN that Manning, 22, probably accessed the IT records of the Institution and downloaded thousands of files which he then resent via mail.

Troops in Afghanistan Had Special Group to Exterminate “Terrorists”

Hundreds of civilians were killed without public and official knowledge by coalition troops in Afghanistan. Secret plans to kill leaders of the extremist Taliban and Al Qaeda and the discussion of the alleged involvement of Iran and Pakistan in supporting the insurgents were recurring themes for military leaders.

Study of Death Penalty in North Carolina Shows That ‘Race Matters’

A new study examining death sentences in North Carolina over a 28-year period ending in 2007 shows that among similar homicides, the odds of a death sentence for those who are suspected of killing whites are approximately three times higher than the odds of a death sentence for those suspected of killing blacks.
