BP to Pay $4,300 for Every Barrel of Spilled Oil

The scandal around the oil spilt into the Gulf of Mexico does not subside. On Thursday, the information was released that U.S. authorities are preparing a lawsuit against the owner of the exploded BP platform, demanding compensation for damage caused by the leakage. Fines can reach $4,300 for each barrel of oil spilt in the waters of the Gulf, i.e., a total of approximately $17.6 billion.

Powerful Women. The most powerful ones….

German Chancellor Angela Merkel took the first position of Forbes’s 100 most powerful women in the world. Well-known faces like Condoleezza Rice went little bit down in the list. Rice got 7th most powerful position. Hillary Clinton is not within the first ten. She got the 28th position. But if she could be the Democratic Party candidate for the coming presidential election, she might be at the 2nd or 3rd position. But it doesn’t matter. She is one of the brightest women politicians of 21st century.
