After decades of surveying Sceloporus lizard populations in Mexico, an international research team has found that rising temperatures have driven 12 percent of the country’s lizard populations to extinction.

Saturday, and again on Monday (22^nd March) Beijing and part of eastern China was hit by two successive severe sandstorms originating in northern China. And the fine dust travelled not only to Taiwan, but as far as to the western United States.

Extinction of Species, and loss of vital elements in nature

International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) reported in July that 869 species are extinct now.

If we add 290 ‘Critically Endangered’ species, then the loss will amount to 1159.
