When Microsoft launched its cashback program in May this year, there were much buzz in the industry news and blogs about its success. Now months later, Microsoft’s success gaining more share in searches among the three major search engines looks more obvious. The Comscore data shows a 15% rise in search queries for Microsoft while Google and Yahoo! showed 6% and 9% rise respectively for June.
As of today, 25th of March, we noticed that the internet pioneer Yahoo! has changed its homepage to a more dynamic outlook. It’s a sign that Yahoo! leadership under Jerry Yang is moving to a more dynamic approach to offer Yahoo! as the leader in search engines. (more…)
Microsoft’s winning of the bid to buy 1.6% of Facebook for $240 Milion valued the privately owned company at $15 billion. Does it sound real that a private company, a social-networking utility, values such high. Incredible.
