“Liebe und Romantik”: So denke ich darüber (‘Love and Romance’, the way I feel it): Johannes (42)

(In German and in English)

***Die deutsche Version:

Q. Was ist Liebe?

Q. Was ist Ihr liebstes Liebes-Zitat? Lesen Sie Liebesgedichte?

„wahre Liebe“? Was ist „blinde Liebe“?

Johannes: Wenn man liebt, muss man wirklich Liebe geben.

Thank You.

***English Version:

‘Love and Romance’, the way I feel it: Johannes (42)

Q. What is love? How would you define it?

Johannes:To give human being faith and joy and sympathy.

Q. What is your famous love quote? Do you read love poems?

Johannes: As a child i liked it very much.  I have read many love poems and when you hear a sentence about love, you want to have this in mind to show the woman that love and then to be able to use these sentences. But not anymore.

Q. If two persons are in love, does it mean both are very romantic? And what ‘being romantic’ means to you?

Johannes: Yes  if the two people are together and there is faith and joy and sympathy. I think that’s romantic.

Q. Does the so-called ‘true love’ exist? What is ‘blind love’?

Johannes: True love for me is when the heart can really speak the truth. If everything comes from the heart.  You have to  give faith and sympathy and pleasure. This is the true love for me. And blind love does not come from the heart, it is just “out of the mouth”, so to say: “Yes, I love you” and in the heart there is no movement and no truth.

Q. Can love be divided into categories?

Johannes: Yes, there is real love, there is kind of material love , such as “Oh yes, he has a nice car and a nice apartment!” So I want to be together with a person  for that reason, just as the blind love. But the real love comes just from the heart.

Q. What will happen to you when your love (I mean the person you love) will leave you? Will it have devastating effect on your life? Will you be lost?

Johannes: If I really love and the love is gone, then that can really interfere my life and harm it. It would not be easy but I would try to understand the reason and i would try to forget and to live my life again and again from the beginning. When the love is gone, your life is not going away, but if as an example the hands were gone, then your life (quality) would be gone, but then you have to start to organize your life also.

Q. Any advice for new lovers and old ones?

Johannes: When you love, you have to give real love. You love only in a unique way. Love can do much damage, so love must be unique and cannot be distributed to multiple partners.

Thank you.
