After the resumption of international flights declared by the Civil Aviation Ministry, all the international airways have issued their SOP’s to control COVID-19 and the safe traveling of passengers. It is reported by the CVA, not allowing any person to get entered into the airports without the confirmation on web check-in. whereas, no physical registration is permitted at any counters of the airports. Before pandemic, it was quite easy to get cheap flights, but it’s currently hard to get them economically. By maintaining the distance between seats and high precautionary measures, the COVID-19 has wholly changed the rate of demand-supply and the overall expenses of air flights. (more…)

Clostridium difficile kann über mehrere Jahre in Darm verbleiben
Das krankheitserregende Bakterium Clostridium difficile kann lebensgefährlichen Durchfall erzeugen und wird für die Mehrzahl von Darminfektionen in Spitälern verantwortlich gemacht. Obwohl bislang oft ein Zusammenhang mit der Gabe von bestimmten Antibiotika vermutet wurde, zeigt eine Studie des Mikrobiologen Martin Polz in Nature Microbiology, dass dies nur eine lückenhafte Erklärung ist. Das Forschungsteam vom Massachusetts Institute of Technology und der Universität Wien fand heraus, dass Clostridium-Infektionen jeglichem Durchfall – egal ob behandelt oder unbehandelt – folgen können und die Erkrankung auch über viele Monate hinweg wieder aufflammen kann. Gefälschte Chloroquin-Tabletten in Afrika identifiziert ‒ Universität Tübingen unterstützt lokale Pharmazeuten bei der Analyse
Arzneimittelfälscher nutzen die Corona-Pandemie offensichtlich, um in Afrika mit völlig wirkungslosen oder sogar schädlichen Tabletten Geschäfte zu machen: In Kamerun und im Kongo sind in den vergangenen Wochen fünf verschiedene Arten gefälschter Chloroquin-Tabletten aufgetaucht, die viel zu wenig Wirkstoff enthielten, oder gar völlig andere. Nachgewiesen wurden die Fälschungen von der Arbeitsgruppe von Professor Lutz Heide am Pharmazeutischen Institut der Universität Tübingen in Zusammenarbeit mit afrikanischen Pharmazeuten und dem Deutschen Institut für Ärztliche Mission (Difäm).
