ARMONK, N.Y. – 09 Jan 2018: IBM (NYSE: IBM) inventors received a record 9,043 patents in 2017, marking the company’s 25th consecutive year of U.S. patent leadership and crossing the 100,000-patent milestone. „Brain Control“ – Spielen mit selbstlernenden künstlichen Agenten

Informatiker der Universität Tübingen haben ein Computerprogramm entwickelt, das eine neue Form der künstlichen Intelligenz darstellt: Das Programm „Brain Control“ simuliert sowohl eine 2D-Welt als auch darin eigenständig handelnde, kooperierende und lernende, virtuelle Figuren – oder Agenten. Dabei handelt es sich nicht nur um ein Forschungswerkzeug, sondern auch um eine neue Art von Computerspiel: Man kommuniziert mit den Figuren in menschlicher Sprache, beispielsweise indem man Dinge erklärt, Anweisungen gibt oder sie dazu motiviert, Situationen selbst zu erkunden.
