Die Mondlandung, Chemtrails oder der Coronavirus: Verschwörungstheorien sind allgegenwärtig, vor allem in den Sozialen Netzwerken. An der Universität Tübingen veröffentlicht ein EU-gefördertes Forschungsprojekt nun umfangreiche Forschungsergebnisse zum Thema. Unter Koordination von Professor Michael Butter hatten sich im Projekt „Comparative Analysis of Conspiracy Theories” (COMPACT) seit April 2016 insgesamt 160 Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus 40 Ländern mit Verschwörungstheorien auseinander gesetzt.
