‘Bing’ still far behind Google

Microsoft’s new search engine ‘Bing’ is by far standing robustly against Omnipresent Google.

But, still there’s a ‘but’.

Google offers an ‘”Excellence” for long-articulated phrases (search), which even Yahoo! Fails to meet. Bing is no better than Yahoo! in this matter.

Let’s look for a reference for ‘Phytoremediation’. Phytoremediation means healing the contaminated soils with plants. Here plants extract the metals or other toxins from the soil, and the soil gets clean.

Now you got a reference from your colleague on your subject, and you wanted to look for it in the web. Your reference is: “Dzantor E. Kudjo (2000) Phytoremediation – Plant-based strategies for cleaning up contaminated soils: Metal contaminants. Fact sheet 768. Maryland Cooperative Extension, University of Maryland.”

You copied a part of the reference: “Dzantor E. Kudjo (2000) Phytoremediation – Plant-based strategies for cleaning up contaminated soils: Metal contaminants.”, and searched in Bing first.

The results are extremely disappointing. Bing says, “We did not find any results for Dzantor E. Kudjo (2000) Phytoremediation – Plant-based strategies for cleaning up contaminated soils: Metal contaminants. .” and offers you some suggestions. The screenshot is below.

Now if you insert your search in Google, you get 7 results of your enquiry. Screenshot below:

However, this says, Microsoft still need to improve a lot of its Bing to be the Search Engines ‘King’.

I use Bing and Google whenever i want to find something on the internet. I think that both search engines are very good. ,

It is interesting to compare the performance of Bing and Google search but i haven’t seen any difference at all in their performance. “”
