Three new Species in 2007 – more in 2008 – “Happy New Year”

Scientists in the Foja Mountains of the Indonesians province Papua have discovered two mammalsa giant rat and a pygmy possum (a nocturnal arboreal marsupial) in June this year.

In Kenya, a new species of giant cobra which is about nine feet in length and can kill at least 15 people (such much venom it possesses and at least 15 🙂 ) has also been discovered this year.

Scientists believe to find more new species in Indonesia’s “Lost World”. We will certainly hear the new discoveries in 2008.

Happy 2008 Happy New Year.

Cheers !!!
