Study finds climate change damages U.S. economy, increases inequality
Unmitigated climate change will make the United States poorer and more unequal, with the poorest third of U.S. counties projected to sustain economic damages costing as much as 20 percent of their income if warming proceeds unabated, according to a new study published in the journal Science. Jedes Jahr bekommen 108 von 1.000 Mädchen zwischen 15 und 19 Jahren in Afrika ein Kind – das ist mehr als jede Zehnte. In Deutschland dagegen sind es acht pro 1.000 junger Frauen. Das geht aus dem DSW-Datenreport 2017 hervor, den die Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung (DSW) heute veröffentlicht. (more…)
