Jenny, a 213-pound female gorilla is celebrating her 55th birthday at the Dallas Zoo. Normally gorillas live 30 to 35 years in the wild. Then how Jenny could reach almost double of normal years for gorillas. Simply good care and protection from predators. “Happy Birthday to You Jenny”!!!
As the report says about 360 gorillas are in captivity in the North American zoos. That’s an unbelievably high number. And Wikipedia says, “The DNA of gorillas is 97%-98% identical to that of a human, and they are the next closest living relatives to humans after the two chimpanzee species”
