While it may seem tough to maintain a skincare routine when you’re always on the go, it’s important to make time for yourself. Pampering yourself is an absolute must if you want to sustain your energy and enthusiasm throughout the day.

Even busy mothers must follow a self-care routine to have beautiful, bright skin—as developing poor skin is significantly more difficult to treat.

Here are some easy and time-saving skincare methods and techniques to help you look and feel fantastic while staying fresh, invigorated, and ready to take on life’s everyday challenges.

Keep It Simple and Organized

When you have so much to do and so little time, having to also complete a 10-step skincare routine twice daily can seem daunting. So, if you’re having trouble juggling it all, try switching up your routine to something simpler.

Don’t clutter your bathroom with a ton of unnecessary products. All you need is a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen to wash, nourish, and protect your skin. Moreover, organize your products so that you don’t have to worry about what to use next.

Wash Your Face Morning and Night

Washing your face the right way can mean the difference between having good and amazing skin. Wash your face daily even if you don’t apply makeup. Use a gentle cleanser to help remove any dirt, grime, makeup, oil, sweat, or other elements that have accumulated on your face and can clog your pores and trigger breakouts.

Follow up with a Toner

It also helps control acne, shrink pores, and restore your skin’s pH levels. Additionally, it provides another layer of protection to your skin, limiting the environmental contaminants penetrating your skin.

Use a toner immediately after cleansing, while your skin is still damp, to let your skin better absorb the ingredients. If your skin seems overly dry after using a toner, limit its use to only once a day. If you have sensitive skin, use a toner only every other day.

Moisturize Your Skin

To deal with the occasional pimple or breakout, incorporate acne spot treatments into your skincare routine. You can also try some pimple tricks, such as applying ice, crushed aspirin, or anti-redness eye drops to the pimple to help reduce redness and swelling.

Stay Hydrated and Nourished

Dry, flaky skin is a common side effect of aging, but it can also be caused by dehydration and poor nutrition. What you consume has an impact on your skin’s appearance.

To keep your skin healthy and hydrated, drink at least eight to ten glasses of water each day. Eat foods rich in antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. Avocados, cherries, carrots, leafy greens, fatty fish, oranges, and tomatoes are some of the best foods for healthy skin.
