In einer interdisziplinären Studie der Universität Wien wurde nun untersucht, ob Facebook-NutzerInnen tatsächlich “freiwillig, für den bestimmten Fall” und “in informierter Weise” in die verschiedenen Datenverarbeitungen einwilligen und entsprechend der rechtlichen Vorgaben auf ihre datenschutzrechtlichen Ansprüche verzichten.
