Archäologinnen und Archäologen der American University of Beirut und der Universität Tübingen haben die ältesten großflächig erhaltenen Wandmalereien im Vorderen Orient dokumentiert. In UCLA-led study, perovskite-based devices benefit from the strong bond between lead and the same chemical found in coffee and tea

Scientists at the California NanoSystems Institute at UCLA have found that caffeine improves the stability of materials under heat – a property known as thermal stability — of perovskite solar cells, which could someday replace traditional silicon-based solar cells. (more…)

Model Identifies High-Risk Areas for Lumpy Skin Disease in Cattle

Researchers have combined two separate computer models to identify areas at highest risk for outbreaks of lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) in cattle. Discarded mattresses have long been a thorn in the side of garbage collectors; over 300 mattresses are thrown out every day to make their way to landfills.
