Allerdings ist sie besonders empfindlich gegenüber den Folgen der Klimaveränderungen: Hitze- und Dürreperioden, aber auch Überschwemmungen der Anbaufläche als Folge von Starkregen sorgen für enorme Ertragseinbußen. Temperature has increased about 10-fold over the last 10 billion years
The universe is getting hotter, a new study has found.
The study, published Oct. 13 in the Astrophysical Journal, probed the thermal history of the universe over the last 10 billion years. It found that the mean temperature of gas across the universe has increased more than 10 times over that time period and reached about 2 million degrees Kelvin today — approximately 4 million degrees Fahrenheit. Findings shed light on how hearing happens at the molecular level
We hear sounds in part because tiny filaments inside our inner ears help convert voices, music and noises into electrical signals that are sent to our brains for processing. Now, scientists have mapped and simulated those filaments at the atomic level, a discovery that shed lights on how the inner ear works and that could help researchers learn more about how and why people lose the ability to hear.
