In Chile, 15-24 Year Olds Are Most Engaged Internet Users Accounting for 1 in 3 Minutes Spent Online

Santiago, Chile, July 19, 2011 – comScore, Inc., a leader in measuring the digital world, today released a study on Internet usage in Chile from its online audience measurement and media planning solution comScore Media Metrix. The study found that Microsoft Sites led all web properties in audience size reaching 97.3 percent of the Chilean online population in May, followed by Google Sites and Facebook.com. The study also analyzed the demographic composition of Chile’s online population and found that Internet users age 15-24 accounted for 35 percent of total online minutes in May, making them the most engaged audience segment in the market.
