Let’s know what these two verbs mean:

studieren – to study (in a colleage or university), to study a subject (like medicine, economics etc.)

past & past participle: studierte & studiert

Ich studiere Medizin an der Universität Bonn – I study medicine at the University of Bonn.

Ich möchte Psychologie in Deutschland studieren – I want to study physhology in Germany.

Ich studiere Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Martin-Luther-Universität – I study business economics at the Martin Luther University.

Meine Schwester studiert Politik und Soziologie – My sister is studying politics and sociology.

Ich heiße Katja und studiere derzeit Englische Literatur in München – My name is Katja and currently I am studying English Literature in Munich.

On the other hand,

lernen means ‚to learn something’

past & past participle: lernte & gelernt

Ich lerne Deutsch – I am learning German.

So you are learning German in several ways: may be you are taking special courses in a language school, or your are doing
few online courses or you have a private tutor etc., but you haven’t got admitted to any University to study German language as a Bachelor or Masters program. Clear?

Seit Jahren lerne ich Deutsch, trotzdem mache ich immer Fehler. Ich muss noch viel lernen -
For years, I'm learning German, but I am always making mistakes. I still have to learn a lot.

der Fehler – mistake (pl. die Fehler)

die Universität – university (pl. die Universitäten)

die Literatur - literature (pl. die Literaturen)

die Wirtschaftswissenschaften - business sciences
