'Point Nemo' is the farthest point in the ocean from land. It is also known as the 'oceanic pole of inaccessibility' and is located in the South Pacific Ocean.

But how far it is really from land? According to NOAA:

This remote oceanic location is 2,688 kilometers from the nearest land — Ducie Island, part of the Pitcairn Islands, to the north; Motu Nui, one of the Easter Islands, to the northeast; and Maher Island, part of Antarctica, to the south.

Point Nemo is named after Captain Nemo, a fictional character of the French science fiction writer Jules Verne in his novel 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea'.
