‘Breast Ironing’ in Cameroon

Female circumcision or female genital mutilation is common in many countries like Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia.

However, ‘breast ironing’ is some kind of new addition to this ‘ill- and evil’ practice.

It’s just ironing the breasts to make it more ‘flattened’ so that men will not be enticed to the young girls, and this will help girls from being pregnant or assaulted. But in both the cases of female genital mutilation or breast ironing, girls experience unimaginable psychological problems.

However, this inhuman practice of ironing young girl’s breasts is on the rise in the West African country Cameroon.
